YOUR PRIVACY — WHAT WE DO WITH INFORMATION ABOUT YOU
Nodera Children's Home
This page explains what we know about you and why we need it — in simple language.
WHAT IS THIS PAGE ABOUT?
We have to keep some information about you because of the law, and because it helps us look after you properly. This page tells you what information we keep, why we keep it, and what your rights are.
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE KEEP ABOUT YOU?
We keep information like:
• Your name and birthday
• Information about your health — for example, if you take any medication
• Information about your school and education
• Information from your social worker and local authority
• Notes about how you are getting on in the home
WHY DO WE KEEP IT?
We keep this information because:
• It helps us care for you properly and keep you safe
• The law says we have to keep certain records about young people in our care
• It helps the people who work with you (like your social worker or doctor) do their jobs
WHO SEES YOUR INFORMATION?
Some people need to see information about you to help look after you. These might include:
• Your keyworker and the staff at Nodera
• Your social worker and local authority
• Your doctor or other health professionals
• Your Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO)
• Ofsted (the people who check that children's homes are safe)
We do not share your information with anyone who does not need it. We never sell your information.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have rights when it comes to information about you. You can:
• Ask to see what information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask questions about how we use your information
WANT TO KNOW MORE?
If you have any questions, you can talk to:
• Your keyworker
